The standard refund deadline for textbooks and rentals is the first Friday after classes begin (Friday, Feb. 1, 2013).
Note: The refund deadline for “late-start” classes is the first Friday after the session begins, but you will need to show proof of registration for that session.
February 8th extension for dropped classes: For students who drop courses for which their textbooks were purchased, the refund deadline is extended to the second Friday after classes begin (Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, by 4:00 p.m.).**
**For the extended drop deadline, you will be asked to show a printout of your current class schedule verifying drop. Please bring this documentation in addition to your receipt.
Books that are purchased on or after February 12, 2013 do not qualify for a refund.
- Custom course readers, study aid materials and opened access codes non-refundable.
- Books that are purchased new must be in their original condition (i.e. no markings, creased or torn pages, highlighting, or water damage; shrink-wrapped items must be unopened and in their original factory wrap).
- Credit card refunds will be issued to the account used in the original transaction. Please allow 3-5 days for the credit to appear on your statement.
- Items must be returned to the original store of purchase.
Rental Deadlines: Rentals are due by the last day of the semester. Your deadline will be printed on your register receipt.
Please note, if you are renting books through our affiliate BookRenter, your deadline will be within 125 days from the date of rental. Therefore, your actual deadline may vary. BookRenter deadlines can be viewed and managed directly through your BookRenter account (www.bookrenter.com), which will beset-up at the time of rental. If you are unsure when your rental is due, you can contact us at info@kbbooks.com or call the store at 619-232-8398. Please verify our store hours prior to dropping off your rentals to ensure that we are open and able to check them in. Late, damaged, or non-returned rentals are subject to additional fees or replacement costs.
